Holiday Train Stops in Chillicothe

For the first time ever, the Canadian Pacific Railroad Holiday Train stopped in Chillicothe Monday afternoon. The train arrived at 3:45, and at 4:00 pm, they stage came down and two bands performed for a sizeable crowd for about 30 minutes. Despite the cold temperatures and light drizzle, hundreds turned out for the event. In addition to the arrival of the festively decorated train. The short concert was performed by The Trews and Willy Porter. Many of those in attendance also donated non-perishable food items to Chillicothe's House of Prayer Food Pantry. The train arrived in Chillicothe after having been in Ottumwa Monday morning. Upon its departure the Holiday Train was headed to Kansas City. Andy Cummings from Canadian Pacific Railroad says he was very pleased with the turnout. He says they were also very happy to see the amount of donations collected on site.
